As the new Headteacher of St Peter's, I am proud to lead this remarkable Catholic school at an important moment in its history. Working alongside our dedicated staff, supportive families and governors, I am committed to ensuring that every aspect of school life reflects our shared ambition for excellence and our mission to provide the very best Catholic education for every child.

Rooted in the teachings of Christ, we are a community where every young person is known, valued and loved, and where all are encouraged to fulfil their God-given potential. Our Catholic faith shapes who we are, how we treat one another, and the expectations we hold for ourselves and our students. It is the foundation upon which our community is built.

Our mission is inspired by the Gospel and guided by the person of Jesus Christ. In partnership with parents and families, we seek to develop young people of character, integrity and compassion, equipped not only with the knowledge and qualifications to succeed, but also with the wisdom, resilience and confidence to make a positive difference in the world.

Our motto, Tu es Petrus ("You are Peter"), speaks of strong foundations. At St Peter's, those foundations are reflected in our ROCK Values of Respect, Optimism, Community and Kindness. These values underpin everything we do, shaping our relationships, our aspirations and our commitment to serving others.

We believe that every child has unique gifts and talents. Our responsibility is to nurture those gifts through an ambitious curriculum, excellent teaching and a rich range of opportunities beyond the classroom. Whether in academic study, sport, the creative arts, leadership or service, we encourage our students to pursue excellence, embrace challenge and take pride in all they do.

At St Peter's, we are ambitious for every young person. We are committed to the highest standards of learning, behaviour and personal development because we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to achieve their very best. We reject the notion that background determines success and are determined that all of our students leave us well prepared for the next stage of their education, employment and life.

What makes St Peter's truly special is its people. Visitors frequently comment on the warmth of our community, the strength of relationships and the sense of belonging that is evident throughout the school. These qualities are not accidental; they are the result of a shared commitment to creating a culture where everyone is treated with dignity, respect and kindness.

St Peter's has a proud history and an exciting future. United by our Catholic faith and a shared determination to achieve excellence in all that we do, we are building a school where every child flourishes, every talent is nurtured and every student is challenged to achieve their very best. Our ambition is simple: to provide an exceptional Catholic education that enables young people to succeed in life and make a positive difference in the world.

I hope this website gives you a glimpse of the vibrant community that is St Peter's and of the ambition, values and opportunities that define our school. I look forward to welcoming you in person and sharing with you all that makes St Peter's such a special place to learn, grow and flourish.
