It was a wonderful evening of celebration and we were extremely fortunate to hear from both Stephanie Harries (Women’s Sports Group) and Tatyana Heard (Gloucester-Hartpury RUFC). Ms Harries shared how women’s sport can only grow over time and reminded prize-winners of the social and financial benefits that women’s sport will bring in the future. Ms Heard answered questions from the students present and we heard of her favourite stadium (Twickenham), her diet the night before playing (carbonara) and of how she started playing rugby. Both speakers were inspirational and it was wonderful to hear their vision for women’s sport in the future.
